Notification received:
A20 Closures for TAP works
As part of the ongoing works to introduce a permanent arrangement for the Dover Traffic Access Protocol (TAP), we have been advised by Highways England and its contractor of further overnight closures of the A20.
Overnight coastbound closure: 31 October-4 November
The coast bound carriageway of the A20 between the Roundhill Tunnel and the Western Heights roundabout will be closed overnight from 8pm to 6am the following morning for five nights in a row starting Monday 31 October at 8pm and ending on Saturday, 5 November at 6am.
Parking restrictions: B2011 (Folkestone Road)
Dover-bound Traffic will be diverted along the B2011 (Folkestone Road) and as a result additional parking restrictions will be in place on some of the narrower sections of the road, including:
1.Both sides of the Folkestone Road between Approach Road and Shakespeare Road;
2.The north side of Folkestone Road between the junction of Shakespeare Road and Elms Vale Road, and;
3.The section of parking outside W&G Hall’s newsagents and neighbouring shops, near the junction with Malvern Road.
Signs and yellow “No waiting cones” will be placed along the road on Monday 17 October to indicate where parking is prohibited.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused as a result of these important works.
