This Year’s Event
This year’s Summer Fete will be on Sunday 14th July 2024 at River Recreation Ground. The Fete opens at 11am and will close at 4pm.
Prize Draw Raffle
This year, raffle tickets are available in advance from ‘The Rec’ Coffee Shop as well as on the day of the Fete from the Parish Council tent. The raffle will be drawn at 2pm. The full list of prizes is:
- 1st Prize – £200 Irish Ferries Travel Voucher
- 2nd Prize – £100 Irish Ferries Travel Voucher
- 3rd Prize – £50 Cullins Yard Restaurant Voucher
- 4th Prize – Snap Fitness Gym Voucher
- Also: One hour at Rebels Sauna; £20 Aspendos Dover Voucher; Afternoon Tea for Two at Alkham Valley Team Rooms; Unlimited Breakfast for 2 Adults at the Duke of York’s Brewers Fayre; Two Marks & Spencers ‘Pasta and Prosecco’ Packs; Garden Set from Alkham Valley Garden Centre.
- Plus from Dover Leisure Centre: One ‘Clip and Climb’ Session; One Inflatable Session; Five ‘Just Swim’ Sessions either adult or child.
Fun Dog Show
The Fete is the one day of the year that dogs are allowed in the Recreation Ground. The show will be held after the prize draw around 3pm. Listen for announcements for the exact time. Entry Forms will be available from the Parish Council tent at the Fete. Classes will be announced shortly.
Food Court
A selection of food vendors and a bar will be providing refreshments. In addition, the Methodist Church stall will be providing pack lunches for children, the bowling club will be open serving teas and coffees and the newest addition to the grounds, ‘The Rec’ Coffee Shop will be open.
Stalls & Attractions
A variety of stalls selling arts and crafts, providing traditional fete games will be there as usual, including a coconut shy. Local groups will also be attending providing information about their community services.
