River Parish Council acts as a statutory consultee for the Local Planning Authority, Dover District Council and receives notification of all planning applications submitted within River.
Planning applications are discussed either at the full monthly parish council meeting or at specially convened meetings of a Planning sub-committee. Any comments are then submitted to the Local Planning Authority and can be viewed on their website.
Planning Committee
The Planning Committee is chaired by Cllr. Taylor and also includes Cllr. Buhlman, Cllr. Eyre-Jackson and Cllr. Keningale. Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings of the Planning Committee which are held in the Clubroom at River Recreation Ground. Please note that entry to the Clubroom is via a flight of steps. Agendas for meetings are published on the parish council’s three noticeboards (outside River Village Hall, by the Crabble Lane gate to River Recreation Ground and next to the former Lewisham Road bus terminus) and on this website.
